Today's Topic: Being Led By The Holy Spirit

Read Romans 8:14-17 AMP: 14For all who are allowing themselves to be led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading again to fear [of God’s judgment], but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons [the Spirit producing sonship] by which we [joyfully] cry, “Abba! Father!” 16The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God. 17And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory.

Think about this: As you have spent this time of prayer and fasting, our hope is that you have become more intimately involved with the Holy Spirit as you have been praying, seeking God and developing your relationship with Him. As important as it is to learn to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, it is even more important to be obedient to His voice when He speaks. The Holy Spirit is always trying to lead you. In fact, John 16:13-14 NLT says "13When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. 14He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me." The Holy Spirit will always lead you in the right direction, but you have to choose to follow His lead.

Allow the Holy Spirit to direct your steps and you will succeed in all you do. He knows the end from the beginning, so He will guide you away from pitfalls and into the greatest success of your life. When this specific time of prayer and fasting is over, don’t stop putting this into practice in your life. Develop a lifestyle of continuously being led by the Holy Spirit.

Pray this prayer: Dear God, Thank you for the Holy Spirit and His leading in my life. Help me to hear His voice at a greater level. I commit to listen at a higher level and to be obedient to His voice when He speaks. Guide me into the plans that you have for me, and I will be faithful to listen and follow your voice!
