It takes time to be a Christian who is able to influence others and lead them to the truth. It takes growth to become the kind of man or woman who can disciple others and show them how to be all that Christ has called them to be. It takes work to learn the lessons, to gain experience, and to overcome the things that hold us back. It takes learning the truth, abiding in Christ, and committing to the process of using what we have, to become all that we can be. This is the life that all followers of Christ are called to.

And it’s hard.

It doesn’t take five minutes.

But, it can be done.

In this challenging new lesson series entitled “The King’s University,” we are going to watch as Jesus takes his apostles on a learning journey through Matthew 14-20. Through miracles and teachings and confrontations and conversations, we will see as Jesus trains his disciples in the school of ministry. We will learn alongside the twelve, handpicked men that God chose to start his global, from-mustard-seed-to-mustard-tree church. And, along the way, we will be given the tools and teachings necessary to exert the influence we were created to use, to create the impact we were made to have. And, just as the apostles did, we will be given an intimate look at who Jesus is. We will see his power, his glory, his compassion, his grace, his wrath, and his love. And we will learn how to influence and lead others in the way that the greatest man in the history of the world did. It’s time to go back to school.
