John 2:14-21 – 14 In the temple he found people selling oxen, sheep, and doves, and he also found the money changers sitting there. 15 After making a whip out of cords, he drove everyone out of the temple with their sheep and oxen. He also poured out the money changers’ coins and overturned the tables. 16 He told those who were selling doves, “Get these things out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace!”, 17 And his disciples remembered that it is written: Zeal for your house will consume me., 18 So the Jews replied to him, “What sign will you show us for doing these things?” 19 Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days.” 20 Therefore the Jews said, “This temple took forty-six years to build, and will you raise it up in three days?” 21 But he was speaking about the temple of his body.

1. THE *DESIGN DETERMINES THE *WORK

1 Corinthians 6:19 – Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,

2. YOU ARE NOT THE *ARCHITECT OF YOUR OWN *TRANSFORMATION

Romans 8:28-29 – 28 We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

3. WITH JESUS, WHAT LOOKS LIKE *DESTRUCTION IS REALLY *RESTORATION

John 2:18-19 – 18 So the Jews replied to him, “What sign will you show us for doing these things?” 19 Jesus answered, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days.”

Hebrews 12:2-3 – fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
