I am beyond excited to share with you a song that was co-written and sung by one of our fabulous Youth, Miss Katie Barnett, and myself. I had known that Katie was interested in songwriting for a while and so I’ve encouraged her to write along the way. About a month ago, Katie approached me with the Scripture, Isaiah 41:10. She had taken this Scripture and constructed a Chorus and melody and also a partial song Verse. Seeing the well-crafted nature of what she had written, we set up a co-writing session and spent about an hour and finished writing the lyrics to the Pre-Chorus, Bridge and Outro; as well as put together an arrangement. We were excited with what we had and felt like God was blessing our efforts. So, I went into my studio and recorded the track and then we met again at my studio to track and record our vocals. 

During the process, Kim and I were continually reflecting on how uplifting and encouraging this song of Worship has been for us and how God is using Katie to write not only this song; but others as well (we’ve co-written 3 so far). We also noted how amazing it is to see God blessing and using the thriving and healthy Worship culture and environment at TVCC to inspire and raise up the next generation of very talented worshipers and Worship Leaders. Those who will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth and write and sing love songs of Worship to Him taken directly out of His love letter of instruction to us, the Holy Bible. 

On behalf of Katie and myself, our prayer for you as we have written and recorded this song is that you will be strengthened and encouraged by the faithfulness of our God as represented in this Scripture. May it lead you to worship Him for who He is and what He has done in your life.
