Throughout Ephesians, Paul has made several references to the "powers and authorities" who resist God's rule. In chapter 6 Paul finally addresses how we are to fight against those powers. The Way of Love

He calls on them to walk in the "way of love," which requires them to be intentionally different--in some ways that still scandalize us today, both inside and outside the church.
