Eyes on the Cross

Lent 2024

"The Man Who Gave the Order"

March 24, 2024 • Marissa Horning • Mark 11:1–10

This Sunday, we will remember Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem at the beginning of Holy Week, celebrated and praised by the masses. But we will also find him on the cross yet again, abandoned and scorned by those same people. His calls to repentance, humility, and radical love were not easy to accept – and those calls haven’t changed. Will we respond like those who did not understand his message, or are we prepared to recognize Jesus as the Son of God and commit ourselves to trust and follow him as he requires us to?

"The Man Who Denied Him"

March 17, 2024 • Bonnie Abel • Luke 22:54–62

This Sunday, as we continue to have our "Eyes On The Cross" we will look to the story of a man named Peter. During Peter's life we get to watch as he learns what it means to be a faithful follower of Jesus. We also see moments where fear gets the best of him. Peter is so relatable like that! The beauty of Peter's story is that redemption is always possible...just like it is for each of us! Join us on Sunday as we learn from Peter and continue on a journey with Jesus!

"The Man with Second Thoughts"

March 10, 2024 • Dan Perry • Mark 10:17–22

"The Man With Second Thoughts" Mark 10:17-22   Most of us are not rich in the way the world describes "rich". So can I really identify with the story of the rich young ruler? Or can I? Join us this Sunday as we continue our "Eyes on the Cross" series including a drama presentation and devotion.

"The Man He Looked At"

March 3, 2024 • Tim Price • Matthew 27:11–26

Lent is a season to remember, to be reverent, and to focus on Christ’s sacrifice for us as we share in it each day. From now through Easter, each Sunday will include a short drama and a devotional message as we focus our Eyes On The Cross. For this Sunday, March 3, we will look at Barabbas and the question he is confronted with: A man is dying for me, what will I do about it?
