Deuteronomy 18:15-19 is a striking passage where YAH tells Moses that He will raise up for the people a prophet like him (Moses) from the midst of the people. YAH says that He will put His words in this Prophet's mouth and the people must "shamah" (hear and obey) him. This Prophet will share many of the same characteristics and even life experiences as Moses. Being like Moses was the telling sign that would distinguish this prophet.
