Momentum For Life

The Bible constantly challenges us to pursue wisdom, which often involves stretching our minds beyond what is normally comfortable. Often, when we reach a certain point in our life, and faith, we feel we do not need to learn any more. Worse, we don’t care very much to learn more. We’ll offer some simple tips for lifelong learning revolved around Reading, Observing, and Doing to maintain a momentum for our personal lives.

Exercise for Life

God has given us our bodies to be of service to Him. A faithful disciple is one who utilizes this gift through the many ministries that we are called to engage. Our bodies, which includes our mind, is the primary vehicle where the Holy Spirit activates us to create the kingdom of God. We’ll learn the importance of caring for God’s temple and how to respect this gift that has been given to us.

Visioning for the Future

Visioning is the disciplined practice of formulating God’s specific purpose for your life. You must conceive the idea before you achieve it. We’ll examine how we can look towards the future and identify why without a vision toward something, we’ll find ourselves wandering aimlessly.

Investing in Key Relationships

The columnist David Brooks wrote that the recent rise in depression, angst, and anger in American society is because we have long lost the ability to develop community, by which he means invest in key relationships. The Christian faith has largely been one of community where tradition, learning, and values are transmitted through relationships. It’s not a faith that can be done by yourself. This week we’ll hear about the importance of recognizing and making our priority our own key relationships.
