Luke 1:46-55, BCP 1662 My soul doth magnify the Lord: and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For He hath regarded: the lowliness of His handmaiden. For behold, from henceforth: all generations shall call me blessed. For He that is mighty hath magnified me: and holy is His Name. And His mercy is on them that fear Him: throughout all generations. He hath showed strength with His arm: He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seat: and hath exalted the humble and meek. He hath filled the hungry with good things: and the rich He hath sent empty away. He remembering His mercy hath holpen His servant Israel: as He promised to our forefathers, Abraham and his seed, for ever. Domine, non est exaltatum

Psalm 131, Vulgate Domine, non est exaltatum cor meum, neque elati sunt oculi mei, Neque ambulavi in magnis, neque in mirabilibus super me. Si non humiliter sentiebam,sed exaltavi animam meam: sicut ablactatus est super matre sua, ita retributio in anima mea. Speret Israël in Domino, ex hoc nunc et usque in saeculum. Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty, Neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned Of his mother, my soul is even as a weaned child. Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever.
