We’ve Still Got Bread!

March 10, 2024 • Winston Parrish • Psalm 37

This morning, we are living in the most dangerous moments since WWII. Look closely; the world is at war. Russia continues its onslaught on Ukraine; from Yemen, the Houthi movement is attacking Western-flagged ships. Since 2019, more than 2,000,000 people have left Central America’s Northern Triangle, fleeing violence and war, most of them ending up in the United States illegally. War and the buildup to war are spreading like wildfire. Haiti, Ethiopia, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, China, and the list goes on and on. In Israel, we go back to October 2023, when Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad fired thousands of rockets into Israel and stormed southern across the Gaza Strip border, killing more than 1,300 Israelis, injuring over 4,000, and taking hundreds of hostages. I just stood in those communities on Wednesday, and I saw with my own eyes the capability of human beings who are full of hate, demonically enraged with a blood thirst for innocent lives. Where I stood, every street, every corner of the neighborhood, a family, a friend, a kidnapping, a bombing, a house in shambles, it’s like nothing I’ve ever seen or felt. Everything we go through as a world and as individuals is not a surprise to God; His world tells us to expect it, and this is just part of it. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+corinthians+2%3a12&version=kjv, https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+john+4%3a3&version=kjv, https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=ephesians+6%3a12&version=kjv, https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+peter+5%3a10&version=kjv There is good news! This process will come to an end, but what do I do with the pain and suffering of the world around me until the solution comes? https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=psalm+37%3a9-17&version=kjv 1. Fret Not  2. Trust in the Lord 3. Delight Thyself also In the Lord! 4. Commit thy ways unto the Lord! 5. Rest in The Lord!
