Second reason for his letter was his "suffering for the Jews". Paul was not liked by many Jews during his ministry because he ministered to the Gentiles. His ministry of reconciliation brought him persecution and imprisonment. He viewed this as honor for the name of Jesus Christ and motivation to share the gospel. He was willing to suffer that the Jews would have the opportunity of Faith in Christ for Salvation and victory as believers.
