How God Works With You

His Ways Are Not Like Our Ways

Heaven’s Redirect

July 23, 2017 • Jeff Lyle

The most challenging work in the Kingdom is not for a sinner to be rescued from eternal condemnation. The greater challenge is for a saint to be delivered from their purposeless wanderings. The danger of living in a rut is that you can get very used to daily existing there. When God determines to do something new in that person’s life, He often goes to dramatic lengths to get their attention and redirect their steps. Even then, wandering believers may dig in their heels. This message shows how God exited Moses from a forty-year rut in order to send him on the greatest assignment of his life. If you are in a rut yourself, prepare to encounter a God who loves you too much to leave you there.

Chasing Down Love

I believe that, if God only five minutes to speak with you, He would spend those five minutes emphasizing, re-emphasizing and re-re-emphasizing to you just how much He loves you. I do not believe that He would spend those five minutes talking to you about your guilt. He would not give you twenty commands to obey. God would not demand you to communicate to Him exactly what you plan to do for Him. No, the Father would take those five minutes and seek to bring you to a radical understanding of just how much He loves you. That is exactly what this message seeks to communicate to us all.

The Father’s Deliberate Delight

July 16, 2017 • Jeff Lyle

Most Christians would answer with a ‘yes’ if they were asked whether or not they believe that God loves them. It is likely true that there would be an awkward moment of silence if that same Christian was asked, “Do you believe that God DELIGHTS in you?” Could it be that generations of Jesus-followers have never been welcomed to embrace the notion that they bring delight to the Father’s heart? This message highlights a singular verse that unveils the heart of the Father toward of all His redeemed children. May our fears, dread and insecurities all be banished in the reality of God’s lavish delight in His children.

Harnessing Your Desperation

There is only one place where desperation is a positive force. That one place is the Kingdom of God. When a person reaches the true end of himself or herself, there arises a force that drives itself up from the heart and seeks to latch on to whatever source will bring relief or rescue. This force is called desperation. When desperation is directed toward Jesus, the desperate soul will find exactly what is required…and then some. This message reveals what this looks like in the life of one man who was completely out of options.

Where God’s Blessing Falls

July 9, 2017 • Jeff Lyle

In the Christian faith, everyone understands that salvation is a free gift from God. Grace, and grace alone, grants the believing sinner a relationship with God. Yet what about everything after that? Much confusion surrounds the issue of obedience to God – does our obedience obligate God to bless us? Can we earn His favor by obeying Him? Should a sporadically obedient Christian expect the blessing of God on his/her life? This message reveals the relationship between a Christian’s obedience and God’s favor. All of us want to be blessed, but do we know where God’s blessing falls?

Turned, Freed & Changed

Many Christians have never been taught the big picture of what God is doing for them in the present. Far surpassing the humanly religious exercise of modifying & controlling people’s behavior, God is actually actively working to change the Christian’s entire nature. Simply put, the Father is transforming each believer through the Holy Spirit, so that they become like Jesus Christ. This message offers a behind-the-curtain peek at how this process is taking place right now in the Christian’s life. Find out why we are never finished in our journey towards the apex of God’s plan for our lives.

Four Kingdom Seasons

June 25, 2017 • Jeff Lyle

Younger or newly saved Christians rarely grasp this essential element of how God is always working in His Kingdom: seasonally. Even in nature we see this aspect of the heart of God. He moves in a rhythm in His workings among His people. To recognize what season we are in is vital to moving in coordination with God. This message reveals four specific seasons from the life of Israel which translate into four specific seasons in the lives of New Testament believers. Ultimately, the question we must answer is, “Which season does God have me in right now?”

Why Did God Enlist You?

God is a fan of paradox. Something in His infinite heart loves to confound the foolish thinking of human beings. He is committed to regularly reminding us that He does not think like we think, and that His ways are much more lofty than ours. Perhaps nowhere in the Kingdom is this more clear than the area of whom God chooses to bless and use in His Kingdom advancement. This message reveals why the uber-gifted, proud and refined may find great difficulty in ever being promoted by God. The simple, humble, yielded and despised people should expect to see great things from the God who curiously enlists His choicest servants.

Gloriously Outmatched

June 11, 2017 • Jeff Lyle

Most of us believe that God gives His faithful children victories. Yet HOW those victories are given to us by Him is not always understood by us. This message takes us to a crossroads moment in the history of Israel. God promises them victory, and then He entrusts to them in detail how outmatched they were against their enemies. In the end, He seems to be asking them, “Can you trust me to make you overcomers?” He is asking us the exact same thing.

Why Breakthrough Sometimes Tarry

June 7, 2017 • Jeff Lyle

The ways of God can often leave us less than encouraged about how He is operating in our lives. Frankly, there are times we simply do not understand why He works the way He works with us. This message addresses why God sometimes does not move as quickly as we desire when we stand in need of a breakthrough. He is not ignoring you when He moves slowly. He is actually showing the greatest care for you when He refuses to rush.
