A Place of Wind & Warfare

Acts 4:23-31

May 15, 2016 • Jeff Lyle

This world is no friend to the followers of Jesus. From the inception of the Church to this very moment, there has been a reality of war against the people of God. Fueled by Satan and his demons, the cultures of every place, in every generation, have sought to undermine the mission of the Church. We see it plainly in America today and it will be increasingly obvious as we move toward the end of the age. This message highlights the reality of spiritual warfare. Yet the main thrust of this sermon is for believers to remember who we are in Christ, and for us to rely intentionally and daily upon the Holy Spirit to bring us into the state of overcoming. Be encouraged to see the simply tools God has provided His people in order to harness the wind of the Spirit and defeat the enemy in the war from our culture.

A Place of Worship & Wonder

The reason that there is so much debate among Christians surrounding the topic of worship is simply because many Christians mistakenly view worship as an activity to be accomplished. This message goes to great lengths to help the listener understand that true worship is little more than an intentional and ongoing abandonment of oneself to Jesus Christ. Does it occur in a building on Sundays? Well, it certainly should. But what about the moments beyond the music? When one reads the Scriptures without bias, one discovers repeatedly that the call to worship is not a request to complete an assignment. The call to worship is an invitation to live your life out on in an entirely different realm. Worship transcends time, space, motion, senses and individuality. Worship is the result of knowing God as He is. Worship is everything, the highest call upon our lives. Wonder accompanies worship when we continually experience revelation from God about Himself. This message invites you to stick your big toe in the deep in. Having done that, you will want to jump all the way in.

A Place of Hope & Healing

June 5, 2016 • Jeff Lyle

The subject of supernatural healing often leaves the followers of Jesus on different sides of the aisle from one another. If we left off completely all the church tradition and history of the last 2,000 years, and if we only studied the Bible for our answers, what would we conclude about the activity of God as it pertains to healing and deliverance? Does the Bible teach that this activity is no longer accomplished through the body of Christ? Do the Scriptures give any evidence that the Lord would continue His works of healing unto our present day? Is it presumptuous for modern Christians to expect God to heal them and those whom they love? This message challenges all of us to press further into this topic, and to expect God to bring healing to those who stand in need. Because we base our convictions on God’s Word, we have every reason to hold to the Biblically sound hope that the God who healed all throughout the Biblical narrative, will also heal today.

A Place of Wondrous Wealth

When it comes to the Christian's finances, there should be at least two things we are convinced of: 1) God most definitely does not need our money & 2) out money most definitely needs God. Either way we slice it, the money we have needs to move from our control to His. This message is not your typical message on money. Far from the guilt-mode we have often felt characterizing messages on financial stewardship, this sermon brings the issue down to where it should always be anchored: honoring God and trusting God with our material provision. The listener will be challenged to put God to the test to learn whether or not He fulfills His promises to His children concerning His care for us. Utilizing several different passages of Scripture, Pastor Jeff reveals God's invitation to His people to receive the full bounty of His blessing for them by entering into His reliable plans for their finances. You will be stretched by this message but, if you align with it, you will not be disappointed.
