The ultimate act of mercy is shown in God giving His Son as a sacrifice for us, the undeserving, that we might be saved. God now calls us to go and be merciful—presenting ourselves as living sacrifices, outdoing each other in showing honor, befriending the lowly, practicing hospitality, and blessing our enemies.
