Wondering and Wrestling
The Minor Prophets: Habakkuk 1:1-2:1
The Village Chapel - 07/21/2024
Habakkuk was an Old Testament prophet who lived in a time marked by acrimony, wickedness and violence. With that difficult context and yet, given what he believed to be true about God, Habakkuk had some honest questions about God’s silence and God’s sovereignty. What did Habakkuk do with his questions? He took them directly to the Lord and then waited expectantly for God to answer. Just what were those questions and how did God answer them?
Join Pastor Jim as he opens up chapter one of Habakkuk to show us that even in our times of greatest difficulty, God is neither inactive, incapable nor indifferent; God knows and cares about our times of wondering and wrestling.
The Village Chapel exists to glorify God through the teaching of His word, through heartfelt worship, and by connecting people with opportunities to live lives of real significance, serving God and their neighbors as a local community of faith.
