Walk NOT Like This

George Hulse

It is not often that we hear a message about what NOT to do, but this week we will! As we all battle our old self, our old sinful nature, we are all called to put off the old ways, habits and attitudes of our former life outside of Christ. This is a battle indeed! And the most vulnerable person in a battle is the one who doesn’t think they are in one. So, let us raise our awareness this Sunday in Ephesians 4:17-32 to see how NOT to walk in this new life we have in Christ. Let us INSTEAD walk as dear children of our gracious God in truth, tempered, in giving and in gracious words for one another. In short, let us learn to live in unity and build each other up along the way.

All of God's Armor

November 12, 2017 • George Hulse

Where do we find our daily strength to live out this supernatural spiritual life of following Jesus together? We find our strength in His mighty power-- we are dependent creatures for the power we need. And what is that power? The Holy Spirit empowers us to be Christ’s witnesses! So, be filled with the Holy Spirit! That is the key to living this life of following Jesus together. That is the battle and that is the call. In this sermon, we will see all of the armor given to us by God for all that we need to live victoriously.

Be Strong

November 5, 2017 • George Hulse

This week will bring us to the pinnacle of our series in Ephesians, ‘Stand Strong.’ For the next 3 weeks we will learn the lessons of Ephesians 6:10-20 and what it means to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. We'll also learn what it means to put on the full armor of God in order to stand against the enemy and walk in the victory of Jesus Christ that is already ours. This is the time to fight for your participation in worship with us and your adherence to your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The time is now to learn to fight well in the heavenly realms.
