Root Level Prayer

September 24, 2017 • Seth Ebel

To be prayer-less is to be power-less.

This Sunday we will study an incredible prayer recorded by the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 1:15-23. While praying for "surface level outcomes" is not discouraged, Paul’s prayer leads us to consider how deep, root-level prayer, carries a dynamic power and weight. As you read the passage ask yourself,

“How would my prayer life change if I focused on the things Paul focuses on in these verses?”

May we be those who stand strong in prayer, not simply asking God for outcomes, but praying specifically and strategically into the root issues of our hearts and lives.

All of God's Armor

November 12, 2017 • George Hulse

Where do we find our daily strength to live out this supernatural spiritual life of following Jesus together? We find our strength in His mighty power-- we are dependent creatures for the power we need. And what is that power? The Holy Spirit empowers us to be Christ’s witnesses! So, be filled with the Holy Spirit! That is the key to living this life of following Jesus together. That is the battle and that is the call. In this sermon, we will see all of the armor given to us by God for all that we need to live victoriously.

This week will bring us to the pinnacle of our series in Ephesians, ‘Stand Strong.’ For the next 3 weeks we will learn the lessons of Ephesians 6:10-20 and what it means to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. We'll also learn what it means to put on the full armor of God in order to stand against the enemy and walk in the victory of Jesus Christ that is already ours. This is the time to fight for your participation in worship with us and your adherence to your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The time is now to learn to fight well in the heavenly realms.
