In our current cultural moment, snap judgments are more prevalent than they have ever been—at least, social media and the 24-hour news cycles make it seem that way. Many of the messages we hear are partisan, and they are designed to divide rather than unite. Because of this, we consciously and subconsciously favor certain groups of people over others based on superficial differences. Scripture summons us to evaluate our conclusions about each other in truth and compassion.
