Tomorrow Will Be Amazing

May 1, 2022 • Dr. Lance D. Watson • Joshua 3:1–5

Tomorrow always carries with it some anxiety. It’s a place and space we do not know and cannot completely predict. However, in this passage, Joshua announces to the Hebrews that amazing things were on the agenda for their tomorrows. Joshua begins with ordering the people to move when they see the Ark of the Covenant moved by the priests. The Jordan as always is full of water, but when the priest’s step in, it’s at flood stage. Yet God previews what’s coming by permitting them to walk through on dry ground. This showcased the power of God and reminded them and us that we can trust God to make tomorrow amazing.
