Youth - Unstoppable Faith

May 12, 2021 • Michael Fitzgerald

Week Five: Paul and Silas are in prison, yet still have the faith to praise God! When escape is possible because of an earthquake, they stay put and have faith in God’s deliverance in a way that will bring Him glory. This is only possible because of Unstoppable Faith.

DISCUSSION
In your own words how would you describe faith?
Paul went from killing Christians to singing and praising God. What change in Paul caused his faith to be so unwavering that he was willing to die for his faith?
Do you think you can live with the same conviction? Why or why not?
Take Paul & Silas’s situation and compare it to your situation… What situation in your life causes you to question your faith or loose trust in God? Be specific.

Week Seven: Unstoppable Focus: Join us as we look at Acts 20. We'll see that Paul knew that following Jesus would cost his life, but to him, the cost was worth it. Because of that, no matter the struggle, discomfort, or danger, he stayed focused and did not give up. He had one message - repent from sin and turn to God through faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 20:21).

Youth - Unstoppable Allegiance

Week Six: Jason and the other believers are turned on by their community. Rather than deny knowing Paul and Silas orJesus, Jason pays a fine and accepts the cost to his own reputation. He shows his Unstoppable Allegiance to Christ, no matter the cost, because ultimately, his citizenship is in Heaven. Discussion Allegiance is defined as: devotion or loyalty to a person, group, or cause… Would you say your allegiance is devoted to serving Jesus or is it devoted to what you enjoy the most/spend the majority of your time (school, sports, work, gaming etc)? Give an average amount of time spent per week. Of you free time, after eating, sleeping, school and work, how much time do you spend devoting yourself to the Lord (reading, praying, fasting, tithing, attending church, sharing the gospel, serving the body of Christ, etc…)? How much time do you spend fulfilling your fleshly desires(hobbies, gaming, sports, hanging out, etc…)? What does this show you about where you allegiance is? Do others around you see your allegiance to Jesus or something else? Why: be specific? If we live for ourselves, we might avoid seeming crazy or different to avoid embarrassment. Do you ever hide your faith or try to fit in? In those moments, where is your allegiance?
