What's your Sabbath?

John 5:1-17

February 9, 2020 • Joe Seestadt

Jesus' ministry became one of persecution because of the stranglehold that the Jewish leaders had upon their people with man-made religious rules, one being their interpretation of how to handle the Sabbath day. What is your Sabbath? Meaning what are some man-made rules that you hold to that are outside of the Bible? We see how these types of rules cause several kinds of pollution to the essence of God's heart: passivity, policing, and picking-sides.

We will cover the following verses:
John 5:1-17
Exodus 20:8-11
Matthew 7:1-5

BUT JUDAS ISCARIOT

December 20, 2020

When we find Lazarus at supper with Jesus after he is raised from the dead, we see a preview of the believer’s eternal life to come. One day it will be revealed that not all who seem to follow Jesus had a pure motive. What is yours?
