Checkmate: Stabbed in the Back
Week 6 • October 9, 2016 • Pastor Gabe Turner
At some point we’ve all been stabbed in the back. Maybe by a friend, probably by an enemy, perhaps even by a family member? In any case it’s an incredibly painful experience. In ancient warfare it was considered dishonorable to attack an opponent from behind. In week six of Checkmate Pastor Gabe concludes this series with the final verses of Paul’s battlecry in Ephesians 6 and gives instruction on how to watch your back in the warfare.

Peace. Paul wrote in Romans 12:18 that as far as it depends on us, we should be at peace with all men. In week three of Checkmate, Pastor Gabe teaches on God’s goal of peace within relationships and what it means to have our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Just as conflict in life is inevitable, resolution should be as well; however, our enemy does everything within his power to keep us from realizing God’s goal.
