Young Conservative Women: Don’t Let Demons Confuse You About Marriage

Veronika Kyrylenko

Young people are being intentionally confused about their traditional gender roles and responsibilities, and the importance of marriage and family. No wonder fewer people are choosing not to tie the knot or have children, said Megann Robinson and Megan Cradduck of the That’s It podcast.

In this interview with The New American, young conservative commentators reflect on the reasons that led to the decline of marriage in America. That includes the harmful impacts of the sexual revolution, the lies of the feminist movement, perverted sexual content taught in public schools, the replacement of selflessness with selfishness, and the replacement of Christian faith with non-secular pseudo-religions such as transgenderism. Ultimately, the motivation of those driving the anti-family agenda is to instill control over people.

The ladies started That’s It podcast to inspire teenage girls in their journey of self-improvement, fostering confidence and a deeper comprehension of the world. The commentary also serves as a means of continuous self-growth for the hosts themselves.

Idaho Can Save U.S. From Deadly Dependency on China for Strategic Minerals: Mining Expert

June 17, 2024 • Bill Jasper, Darr Moon

Geological engineer and mining expert Darr Moon delivered a sobering message to the Idaho State Republican Convention in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on June 13. Decades of environmental regulatory overkill, lawfare, and media demonization of mining have chased the mining industry out of the United States and locked up our abundant mineral resources that are necessary for a sustainable economy and national defense. America, which was previously the world leader in mining and metallurgy and which developed the technologies and techniques used all over the world, has now become dangerously dependent on China, Russia, and other adversaries. “We will not continue as a modern, industrialized society, let alone a superpower if this dangerous trend is not reversed – and soon,” he told The New American. Most Americans are unaware that we are 100 percent dependent on foreign countries, principally China, for example, for gallium, indium, mica, graphite, scandium, tantalum, manganese, strontium, and yttrium. And 95 percent dependent for rare earths, titanium, and bismuth. Our computers, cell phones, televisions, medical and scientific instruments –- virtually everything electronic -- depends on these essential materials. “A Stealth F-35 fighter jet requires 920 pounds of rare earth elements (REEs) and an Arleigh Burke class destroyer requires 5,200 pounds” he noted. We are also severely dependent on foreign copper, zinc, cobalt, silver, antimony, tungsten, magnesium, vanadium, potash, chromium, and aluminum. The good news, Moon said, is that there is no excuse for this dependence, since the western states of the U.S. are abundantly blessed with vast treasures of these vitally needed resources. “Idaho, the ‘Gem State,’ is particularly blessed with many of these elements in rich concentrations,” he noted. The problem, he notes, is that the federal government has locked up these resources under various environmental pretexts. The solution to this problem is to remove the federal government’s political stranglehold on our minerals and our mining, processing, and refining. “Trump proved that it could be done with oil and gas, converting us from energy dependency to energy independence and energy exporting. The same must be done with regard to our situation with strategic minerals,” Moon said.

The Slippery Slope of Euthanasia: Lessons from Canada

May 10, 2024 • Veronika Kyrylenko

Canada's legalization of euthanasia, deceitfully dubbed "medical assistance in dying" (MAID), began in 2016 with strict limitations for terminal illnesses. However, over the years, the practice expanded to encompass a broader range of circumstances, drawing strong condemnation from Randy Hillier, a former independent member for Lanark–Frontenac–Kingston of the provincial parliament in Ontario. In his interview with The New American, Hillier explores the origins and development of Canada's MAID law. He suggests that in a society heavily influenced by materialism, the value of life has diminished, leading to a shift in attitudes toward death. This shift, coupled with the context of socialized medicine, has created an environment where euthanasia is becoming more appealing and rational option for many. Hillier warns of a concerning parallel with abortion laws, suggesting that eligibility for euthanasia could similarly become unrestricted. He urges individuals concerned with preserving life to engage in the ongoing cultural battle. The statistics paint a stark picture: from 2021 to 2022, euthanasia-related deaths in Canada surged by 30 percent, with physician-assisted deaths accounting for 4.1 percent of all fatalities in 2022. As of today, in America, ten states and the District of Columbia have legalized euthanasia. Nineteen more states are looking to follow the case. Randy Hillier was the first elected representative in Canada to publicly oppose the state of emergency related to Covid, the lockdowns, and mandatory masking and vaccinations. His pro-freedom activism hasn't come without consequences. Hillier faces criminal charges for his defiance of Covid lockdown measures and participation in the Freedom Convoy trucker protests in Ottawa. Lisa Ekman: Reprogramming Democrats, Averting Tyranny

April 29, 2024 • Veronika Kyrylenko

Lisa Ekman, a former self-described "swamp creature" and Democratic lobbyist in Washington, D.C., understands the difficulty of admitting one's mistakes. In her eyes, saving America from totalitarianism requires precisely that from those who have been indoctrinated and misled. She shares her insights in an interview with The New American, discussing her new book, https://deprogrammingdemocrats.com/, Ekman's awakening came during the chaotic and senseless response to the Covid pandemic, when she realized that the cult-like devotion to the Democratic Party was steering Americans toward tyranny.
