The earliest followers of Jesus experienced their fair share of disappointment as well – specifically, as it relates to who they thought Jesus would be and what they thought Jesus would do.
They had put all of their hope in Him, but then He was crucified and buried. They were disappointed and hopeless. But that's not the end of the story, nor the end of our story.
Jesus was resurrected from the dead in three days, and that one event changed their hopes and our hopes forever.
