This habit is known as procrastination, and we usually do it because we tend to think, "Why work on something now when I can do it later?" The problem is that procrastination comes with a cost. It can lead to missed opportunities, unmet goals, poor grades, and increased stress. Whatever you don't do today, you are less likely to do tomorrow. And for many, that is where they are spiritually. They've put their relationship with God off so much that it's almost nonexistent. That's called misplaced priorities.
