Trail-or-Treat at the Park

a "Love Your Neighbor" community event

October 27, 2024
11:30am - 1:00pm

You might of heard of a Trunk-or-Treat, but what about a Trail-or-Treat?!

Join us this spooky season for a community Trail-or-Treat, provided and sponsored by multiple churches in the area, including the Kingstowne Communion, Franconia UMC, Hope UCC, Rising Hope Mission Church, and Virginia Hills Church & Learning Center, on Sunday, October 27 from 11:30am-1:00pm along Chessie's Trail at Franconia-Lee District Park, immediately following a 10:00am worship service at Franconia District Park's outdoor amphitheater.

DETAILS: Put on your costumes and grab a bucket or bag to collect candy in, and come trick-or-treating down the .4 mile Chessie's trail (a 15-20 min walk) that winds through Franconia-Lee District Park anytime between 11:30am-1pm.

ADMISSION: This event is FREE to our community, and all are welcome, but in an effort to do the most good, we ask that you bring ONE OR MORE of the following self-stable items to help us feed families living in poverty in our area this Thanksgiving through Rising Hope Mission along Rt. 1: boxed stuffing, boxed potatoes, canned yams/sweet potatoes, canned green beans, canned corn.

VOLUNTEER: Help us offer this gift of hospitality to our community by: 1) Signing up to give out candy as one of our candy station hosts along the trail, and/or 2) Donating extra candy to make sure we can replenish our bowls and won't run out of candy.
