August 31, 2020 • Bill Gehm

How much do you want to learn? Do you want to know just a little bit about God? A medium amount? Or do you want to know all that you possibly can? Today, Pastor Bill will remind you that a strong desire to learn about God and His word is an amazing thing. There are many ways that you can learn more about God. You can attend a weekly morning service, you can attend a bible study, or listen to a podcast! But Pastor Bill will encourage you to study the Bible for yourself, don't just take what others say as fact.

In today's message, Pastor Bill will remind you that when you come to the Lord... It isn't all sunshine and cloudless skies from then on out. The Bible says that Christians will have trouble in this life. Not might or could... Will. But why? Because we live in a fallen world, full of evil... And in that, it is our duty to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. This act of sharing our testimonies in itself will attract hardship... So what do you do? Rest in the Lord. He will fight your battles for you, He is your great protector.

Have you ever wondered why God has done all that He has done for you? God has blessed us all countless times, more often than we even realize... And in today's message, Pastor Bill will remind us why God blesses us so immensely. You're probably thinking “God blesses us because He loves us.” and that is true... But also God saved, redeemed, and purified us so that we can do good works for the kingdom of God. God blesses us all with our own gifts and talents that we can use for the mission of the Gospel.

Pastoring God's Flock Part 3

God gets excited when even just one person repents and is saved. The Bible says the heavens rejoice! In today’s message, Pastor Bill explains how sometimes Christians need to be prudent with people around us. We can’t continue in relationships that are dead end, dangerous, or destructive. We can only present the gospel and show Jesus to others, but it is up to them to accept Him. And just because we can’t continue in such relationships, doesn’t mean we haven’t planted a seed.

Christians have an obligation to show Jesus to others wherever we go. We are His hands and feet in this world. As Pastor Bill reminds us today, there will be preachers, teachers, encouragers, and givers among us. But whatever your giftings, you are first and foremost a believer-priest; your purpose in this life is to be Jesus for others. This means within your family, within your sphere of influence, and even as you go about your daily errands. Never be the weak link in the chain of the gospel.

In today’s message, Pastor Bill discusses his take on the churches of America. We’ve become soft and accepting of everything. We’ve forgotten God’s commands and promises. Pastor Bill’s analogy is that of eating cotton candy. We all enjoy cotton candy because it tastes good and is easy to swallow. Is this similar to our churches and God’s truth? Do we delve into doctrine and keep the Word of God pure or do we just want to get our fill of sugar and always feel happy and pleased with ourselves?

Devoted to Good Works Part 1

August 20, 2020 • Bill Gehm

As a Christian, you are called to good works. These works do not earn you your salvation and are not meant to be a heavy yoke. But as Pastor Bill discusses today, they are meant to show others the love of Christ. You should feel a burden to do good works because they are essential in showing others who Christ really is. He is gracious and generous, kind and patient, thoughtful and giving. Are you these things? Not for the sake of your own soul, but for the sake of the souls of others!

Gracious Citizenship...Be Nice Part 2

August 19, 2020 • Bill Gehm

You most likely aren’t called to be the next Billy Graham. There are heroes of our faith that God uses to reach thousands of people, but there are a whole lot more heroes whose names you’ll never hear. They’re the person who quietly and resolutely does the right thing, even when it doesn’t serve their purposes. They’re the people that stop and help when everyone else walks or drives by. As Pastor Bill will challenge us in today’s message, one of the most powerful things we can do is simply be nice.

Gracious Citizenship...Be Nice Part 1

How often have you felt like you’re just not good enough to serve God? You know the sins that lurk in your heart and the way’s you’ve fallen. You think God would be better off just leaving you out of His mission in this world. But, as Pastor Bill will remind us in today’s message, it’s not about you or your works. Being saved is all about grace. God doesn’t love you for what you bring to the table. He loves you because He created you and He wants to save you and use you to share His love with others.

Biblical Life - Learning to Live by God's Grace 24/7 - Part 7

Religion will always fall short of attaining the goodness we want to grasp with it. You’re incapable of earning God’s favor through anything you can do. The laws God gave us weren’t given as a checklist of what we must do to be saved. As Pastor Bill will remind us in today’s message, they were given so we can see just how incompetent and wicked we are. When your hold your life up against that measurement, it quickly becomes clear how desperately you need the intervention of God.

The only way to truly live is by God’s grace. Any other way is simply a slow, meaningless journey towards death. God desires so much more for you. As Pastor Bill continues our study of Titus in today’s message, he’ll point out that the grace we are given through Jesus Christ is the underlying theme of all of Scripture. It’s the most important thing you can glean from studying this Book. He gave Himself to save you, and if you accept that, you can look forward with anticipation for His return.

We can see how as a person grows and gets older, they naturally learn more about life. Scripture has a lot to say on how a young man or young woman should be taught to grow towards Christ. In today’s message, Pastor Bill talks about how older men should teach and guide younger men and older women should teach and encourage younger women. We were not created to go through this life on our own. Hear today how God designed relationships to work so that we all grow more and honor Him!

Biblical Life - Learning to Live by God’s Grace 24/7 - Part 4

August 12, 2020 • Bill Gehm

We know God as the creator of Heaven and Earth, but do you know Him as your father? Because of what Jesus did, we can have a relationship with God. One so personal that we can call Him Father. In today’s message, Pastor Bill talks about having a personal relationship with God, the creator of the universe. He wants to share every moment with us and for us to rely on Him for everything! How amazing that we can know God in such an intimate way, and even call him Dad.

We often give gifts to those we love on special occasions and it can be so much fun to watch them open it! When you give a gift, it is usually given out of the love in your heart. In today’s message, Pastor Bill talks about the ultimate gift that God wants to give every single person: Grace. Grace is better than any other gift we could ever receive. Hear today how you can receive this amazing gift of Grace and how it really does change your life once you have it. Things will never be the same.

The Bible talks about the difference between being a young man or woman versus being an older man or woman. In today’s message Pastor Bill talks about what this looks like in the Bible compared to what the world says it should look like. We are to try our best to live a life like the one Jesus lived and set as an example for us. Christians should look and act differently than the rest of the world. Hear today how this can apply to your life and how you can honor God with everything you do.
