The Pastors Part 3

Today, Pastor Bill will warn you that some wolves come into the church to fleece the sheep. They may not want to take over the church or spread false doctrine... But they may be other churches, organizations, or missions that want your money. They don't see the church as the beloved bride of the Christ... They see potential dollar signs for whatever it is they need money for and nothing else. Or maybe it isn't money, maybe it's time or effort, food or clothing... As Pastor Bill warns it can be anything.
The Pastors Part 2
John 10 • August 19, 2019 • Bill Gehm
Today, Pastor Bill remind you that although it the duty of a pastor to protect the church from those who would want to harm it... Pastors do not own the church. As you'll come to see, a pastor can be thought of as an under shepherd, not the main shepherd... That's Jesus, but someone who is called by the chief shepherd to care for the sheep is a pastor. Many false teachers claim that because they started a church they own the church... Not so... Only Jesus Christ owns the church for the church is His bride.

The Message you are called to share is pretty far out there. It can’t be scientifically proven. The status of a soul can’t be measured with instruments. It’s very existence can’t be proven, yet, deep within, all of us know it’s there. As Pastor Bill points out in today’s message, until the Spirit of God reveals itself to your heart, the Gospel will seem foolish. It won’t fit within the constraints of human reason, but when it touches your soul, it’s truth resonates in a way that no human intellect can compete with.

Have you ever found yourself in a time of doubt, worry, or even a sense of abandonment after being cut off from a certain ministry? Perhaps it started off as something great with no end in sight, only to come to an abrupt end with little to no explanation? As Pastor Bill will teach you in his message today, it's times like these that we're to cling all the more tightly to prayer and God's Word. In his study, you'll learn that what may seem like a dead end is often a shift in God's Kingdom that will lead to even greater things.
The Sheep Part 2

Despite there having been countless books written throughout history regarding God's sovereignty, many of us still struggle to comprehend just how amazing God truly is. In fact, it's often after we witness God's provision that we're amazed, only to forget in the next trial. In today's message, Pastor Bill reflects on the faith of Elijah, who God promised provisions during a time of drought. In his study, you'll be reminded that when we as believers receive promises of God, we can be sure He'll follow through.

As many of us can recall when first coming to Christ, there's nothing like the excitement of becoming a servant of God's Kingdom. However, it's just as likely that God didn't place us into ministry the moment we were first saved. As Pastor Bill will teach you in his message today, God often sets aside a time of sanctification and preparation before using us for His will. In his study, you'll learn that just as with the Prophet Elijah and many others, God often shapes and transforms us before He works through us.
The Great Shepherd Part 2

As believers and followers of Christ, we're called to live a life that's filled with prayer and thanksgiving. While many of us might not struggle with maintaining a healthy prayer life, the size of our prayers and the faith we put behind them is what truly matters. In today's message, Pastor Bill will encourage you to reflect on your prayer life and ask yourself just how big your prayers truly are. In his study, you'll be reminded that we have the same exact nature as the prophets of old, who prayed big prayers.
