Deep down, we all know that we ought to be nice, patient, and uplifting. However, when the 5:00 pm traffic hits… it gets a little harder. When that certain coworker won’t quit pestering you… it’s not so easy. In today’s message, Pastor Bill teaches that slander and strife are rooted in hatred. You may not realize it, but when you gossip about someone, there’s something a little darker inside of you than you realize. Hatred has no place within you, so rid yourself of it, and instead, love those around you.

The 23rd Psalm says, “Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Did you catch that? A staff and a rod. In today’s message, Pastor Bill points out that David recognized that God has both an instrument of guidance and an instrument of correction. God is a Good Shepherd who will lead you to green pastures. However, sometimes God will need to correct your path when you veer too close to the cliff’s edge. When you stray too far from the path, expect a nudge from the Shepherd’s rod to get you back on track.

If you have Jesus, you can walk through that cancer diagnosis, car wreck, or tough financial spot with joy, knowing that He will provide for you.
