Friends Giving

December 1, 2024 • Ps. Rob Spina

Friend: Someone that we hold dear that we are Actively fond of…

Real friendship is giving and taking.

Friendship is not a one-way railway.

Job 19:14 ESV

My relatives have failed me, my close friends have forgotten me.

Proverbs 12:26 NIV

The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

2 Corinthians 6:14 NLT

Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?

Proverbs 27:6 TLB

Wounds from a friend are better than kisses from an enemy!

Luke 15:35 NLT

Jesus told them this story: “If a man Has 100 sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the 99 others in the wilderness And go search for the one that is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders.”

Luke 15:6 NLT

When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’

Matthew 5:14-15 NIV

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on a stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.”

Matthew 5:16 NIV

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

John 15:12–14 NLT

This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.

Proverbs 17:17 EXB

A friend loves you all the time, and a brother helps—in and is born for a time of trouble.
