Obey Or Run?

Have you ever ran away from home? Did you ever get tired of listening to what your parents wanted you to do and choose to run instead of obey? It's very likely that many of us did that, or at least wanted to. What if we made the choice to run instead of obey what God wanted us to do? Maybe you've already made that choice and are running from God's voice instead of listening to it. We're going to take a look at the story of Jonah and see why it's better for us to listen and obey God's voice and not run from it.

Last week we started a new series called “The Voice” and took a look at what God might say to us when he speaks and how to discern whether what we're hearing is from him or from somewhere or someone else. But what if you're wondering where God's voice is, or if you can even hear him? That's what we're trying to answer this week as we look at some practical ways to find and focus on God's voice.
