Christmas is a time where people all over the world celebrate the birth of the Son of God, when "the Word became flesh and dwelt among us."
While most of Israel was looking for a conqueror, Simeon was looking for a Comforter. When Jesus was brought to the temple as an infant, it was Simeon that recognized Him for who He was while everyone else missed it.
