King David wrote the words in Psalm 63:2-4: “I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. 3 Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. 4 I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.”
When you think about the word “powerful”, what comes to mind? Maybe your mind goes to a big powerful storm; for others maybe it’s a large powerful animal. Others may think about a politician or a professional athlete as someone powerful. The definition in Websters Dictionary defines powerful as “having great power, prestige or influence”. This summer, we will see God’s powerful work through the life of one of His powerful servants in the Old Testament books of 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel.
