We begin a new series The Stories of Obedience with the Hall of Faith found in Hebrews 11. Pastor Arlan introduces the action of faith and how each leader, despite the opposition they encountered, proceeded in obedience, and out of weakness was made strong.

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval. By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible."

here’s something about the pleasure of God when acting out of obedience. It’s an act that’s spiritual not just physical. Obedience makes you more receptive to faith. Pastor Arlan reminds us of how the scriptures reveal a spiritual law, disobedience reveals unbelief but obedience to God evidences our faith. "By faith, with Sarah’s involvement, he received power of procreation, even though he was too old, because he considered him faithful who had promised." Hebrews 11:11
