1 Timothy was written by the Apostle Paul, who was encouraging his young coworker Timothy who was based in the church in Ephesus.

In chapter 3 the Apostle Paul describes the church as a 'pillar and buttress' of the truth. Martin explores what this means, looking at the nature of truth, how there is a problem with 'truth' in our culture, and how the church has a responsibility to stand for and hold up the truth.
