Religion and Politics

Religion and Politics

July 17, 2016 • Pastor Bill West

There are few topics that are more emotional and more polarizing than politics in our world-especially during presidential elections. It’s easy to concerned, consumed, and confused about all of it today. How many times will we hear or say between now and November: “I can’t wait until this election is over”? No matter what views a person holds, it’s easy to go one of two ways: To believe that our future hope lies within the next person we elect. To become cynical and withdraw from the process. The purpose of this message is to encourage us to be involved in the process based on our personal convictions but to remember that the gospel is the answer to the needs of the human heart and not a politician or a political party.
