Being welcoming starts with having a welcoming heart. We sometimes fail to see how past hurts causes us to build distrust and keep us from welcoming new people in our lives. God too challenged Israel and the church to welcome outsiders.
God wants us to have a welcoming house; meaning our house of worship. God always had a heart for people outside his body. The early church was also challenged to be welcoming to those outside the faith.
