Road to Life

Easter is about new life and that our God conquers death and seeks us out to give us new life. His plan has always been to give us this life through His Son. Jesus sought out the disciples on the road to Emmaus so that He might open their eyes to the truth that was right in front of them that they could not see. God also wants to open our eyes to Him and that His plan has always been to send His son into the world so that we might be saved. Each of us is on our own “Emmaus Road,” and we must take the time to see Jesus and respond to Him. Easter Sunday, we will call people to choose Jesus so that they might live. Road to Calvary

We will learn about the pain and agony that Jesus chose on our behalf. We will also address why it was necessary and what it means for each of us. God was not some angry taskmaster who wanted to punish someone. God is a Holy God that demands that sin be paid for, and yet, He chose to send his son to die the death we should have died so that we may have the life that He chose to live. Road to Decision

We will dig into the “why” of the agony that Jesus was struggling with while in the Garden. We will address the fact that he was wrestling with going to the Cross-the reason He came to earth in the first place. The disciples failed him at His most vulnerable moment-their flesh, and weakness got in the way as ours sometimes do.
