The Blueprint: God's Word for Your Life

The Bible is Authoritative

September 18, 2022 • Pastor Phil Burdoin • Matthew 5:17–18, Luke 16:17, 2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20–21, Isaiah 40:7–8

Jesus personally affirmed and follow Scripture in His own life. (See Matthew 4: 1-11) . Jesus affirmed the authority of the OT scriptures: See above and Matt 19:4-5; Matt 12:40; Luke 22:44-45. To reject the authority of Scripture is to reject Christ’s authority in our lives. Submission to the authority of the Scriptures is both foundational and fundamental to our lives as Christ’s disciples and to our witness of Him in this world. The Bible is Authoritative

The Bible is Unique

August 21, 2022 • Pastor Bill West • Matthew 24:35, Matthew 7:24–27, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16

God’s word is unique, unlike any other book or story ever written in human history. We will look at what makes it unique: unique in circulation, unique in preservation, unique in unity, unique in accuracy, unique in authority. It has the power to change our lives and the society where we live. God’s word is not given to increase our knowledge or just give us more information about Him. God uses His word to transform our lives from the inside out, not just cause us to act differently but to actually be different. We have two choices when we Hear God's word: Build our lives upon God's Word (a solid rock foundation) or to Build Our lives on something else (shifting sand foundation). The Bible is Unique
