Bishop Neal’s sermon teaches us the story of Naaman in 2 Kings 5 in the Bible. Naaman, a powerful commander, was afflicted with leprosy, a disease that was considered incurable at the time. However, he received instructions from a prophet of God, Elisha, to wash himself seven times in the Jordan River. Despite initially being reluctant to follow the instructions because it wasn't how he imagined it, Naaman obeyed and was completely healed.
Bishop Neal emphasized that this story is a powerful reminder that following God's instructions will lead to life. The Lord often guides us through difficult and challenging situations, but it is up to us to listen and obey His voice, even when it doesn't make any sense to us. When we trust in God's plan for our lives and follow His instructions, we can experience true freedom, joy, abundance and the fullness of life that He has promised us.
