Feeling Anxious: Anchor in Peace

June 14, 2020 • Ron Moore

We have this sure and steadfast anchor of the soul.
Hebrews 6:19

Rejoice in the fact that you are in Christ now and forever.

CONFRONTING WORRY

Pray. Think. Act

Pray specifically and with thanksgiving.

Think about these things:
True
Honorable
Just
Pure
Lovely
Commendable
Excellent
Worthy of Praise

I can’t discipline my mind by watching the news.
I can’t discipline your mind by watching trash.
I can’t discipline your mind by absorbing social media.
You can discipline your mind by reading and meditating on God’s Word.

Active obedience moves us from self-focused to others-focused.
