יִרְאַ֣ת – fear/reverence (n./identity) – a feeling of profound respect/reverence for someone or something.

ירא – to fear/revere (v./action/state of being) – to regard with feelings of respect/reverence, consider hallowed exalted or to be in awe of, leading to action.

Deuteronomy 10:12,20, Deuteronomy 13:4

 

A believer operating in fear of man, in order to please man, leads to disobedience.

Nehemiah 6:13, Nehemiah 5:9

 

A believer operating in reverent fear of God, in order to please God, leads to obedience.

Nehemiah 6:9, Psalm 56:11, 2 Timothy 1:7-8
