Night To Shine Guests

We are excited to be an official host church again for this year’s Night to Shine, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation on Friday, February 12 at 6 PM. Night to Shine is an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older. This year, for the safety of the honored guests, Night to Shine will be a virtual experience. Also join us on February 7, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 PM for our SHINE-THRU event. Here our honored guests will be able to drive down the red carpet, receive their crown/tiara, visit our photo booth, get their NTS gift bag, and much more!! This event will be a drive-through event that our honored guests will be able to attend in the safety of their cars. More information will be provided upon registration. Volunteering will look a little different this year, and registration to volunteer is now open! We have opportunities to volunteer in so many fun areas! Guest Frequently Asked Questions What is a virtual experience? The virtual experience will be a prerecorded video event, no longer than 30-60 minutes in length. The virtual experience will NOT be a Zoom call or live streaming event. It will be easily accessed via a weblink, directing viewers to a private landing page. Once on the page, the virtual experience will automatically begin playing. There will be no need to download software or create an account. The virtual experience will be compatible on a smartphone, tablet, computer or smartTV, and be viewable beginning at 6:00 PM on February 12. Who is eligible to be a guest? The event is open to anyone with physical or cognitive disabilities, ages 14 and older (there is no maximum age). We do not have specific guidelines for the eligibility of guests in relation to the legitimacy or severity of their disabilities. What can parents and caregivers of guests do during the prom? This year's prom will be a virtual event! Parents are welcome to help their son or daughter log into the event and can sit with them during the event. Parents are also encouraged to bring their son or daughter to the “shine through” event on February 7. Can the guest request a specific buddy to be paired with? There will not be buddy pairing at their year's Night to Shine. Will gluten-free options be available? We are providing a snack in the gift bag; there will be gluten-free options. Is there a cost for guests to attend or is the event free? The event is completely free for guests and caregivers to attend. What is the attire for guests? For both SHINE-THRU and Night to Shine events, we are encouraging our guests to dress up! We will be holding an online dress shop where you will be able to pick out a dress and we will have contact-free pick-up available for all guests. What is SHINE-THRU? Night to Shine this year will be a virtual event. On Friday afternoon, February 12, we will send you a link to be able to attend that evening.
