Is The New Age Just Old News?

June 26, 2020 • T.A. McMahon & Caryl Matrisciana

Our topic for today, as Gary mentioned, is - it’s a documentary series…well, actually, we’re going to talk about the latest of the series - dealing with false teachings and practices in the church today. And our guest to discuss this subject with us is Caryl Matrisciana, the producer, director, and writer of Wide Is the Gate. Caryl also produced Yoga Uncoiled, which is without a doubt, in my view, the best documentary on yoga from the perspective of biblical Christianity.

June 19, 2020 • T.A. McMahon & Dale Ratzlaff

Tom: Well, this is our second session with Dale Ratzlaff. We’re discussing the theology of Seventh-day Adventism, and for your information, if you missed our session one, he’s a former SDA pastor trained in Seventh-day Adventist schools and seminary. He’s the author of numerous articles and books addressing Adventist doctrines, including Cultic Doctrine of Seventh-day Adventism and Sabbath in Christ. He and his wife, Carolyn, left the SDA church over doctrines they believed undermined the biblical gospel and now teach biblical Christians about the theological errors of Adventism.

Is "Jesus Calling" a Frivolous Christian Book?

May 29, 2020 • T.A. McMahon & Warren Smith

oday and next week my guest is and will be Warren Smith. Warren is an author and speaker, and his books include The Light That Was Dark: From the New Age to Amazing Grace; Deceived on Purpose: The New Age Implications of the Emerging Purpose-Driven Church; A Wonderful Deception: The Further New Age Implications of the Purpose-Driven Church, and False Christ Coming: Does Anybody Care? (I like that title, by the way, Warren.) And, well, the subtitle to that is What New Age Leaders Really Have in Store for America, the Church, and the World; Watering the Greyhound Garden: Stories from the Streets of San Francisco. Kind of about your background, and one of our staff members read it and really enjoyed it, Warren.

Can We Have A Two-Way Conversation With Jesus?

June 5, 2020 • T.A. McMahon & Warren Smith

Today our guest is Warren Smith. This is the second session of my interview with him. And Warren, as I mentioned last week, he’s an author and speaker—numerous books: The Light That Was Dark was the one he started with, [subtitled] From the New Age to Amazing Grace—he’s dealt with so many subjects. But the subject for today, as it was most of last week, is his book “Another Jesus” Calling, and that’s what we want to talk about.

How Soon Would You Like the Lord to Return?

So obviously, if we are supposed to be looking and waiting and watching and expecting, then there couldn’t be anything else that would intervene. Okay? There are signs, however...

So...How Close Are We?

May 1, 2020 • Dave Hunt

He said in 2 Peter 3, “In the last days scoffers shall arise saying, Where is the sign of his coming?” I would say we are in that day...

What is the Gospel of the Kingdom?

April 24, 2020 • Dave Hunt & T.A. McMahon

You’re listening to Search the Scriptures Daily, a program in which we encourage everyone who desires to know God’s truth to look to God’s Word for all that is essential for salvation and living one’s life in a way that is pleasing to Him. Dave Hunt’s book, When Will Jesus Come? Compelling Evidence for the Soon Return of Christ, is the topic, and we are sprinting for the finish line as the last chapter is in view. Well, Dave, “sprinting” may not be the best term I could use, but we are moving along.

Are We The Last Generation?

April 17, 2020 • Dave Hunt & T.A. McMahon

Tom: You’re listening to Search the Scriptures Daily, a program in which we encourage everyone who desires to know God’s truth to look to God’s Word for all that is essential for salvation and living one’s life in a way that is pleasing to Him. We’re discussing Dave Hunt’s book When Will Jesus Come? Compelling Evidence for the Soon Return of Christ. Dave, last week you gave us your understanding of Jesus’ words “this generation” in Matthew 24:33-34. Now, let me read this for our audience: “So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that my coming is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.”

Are You a Preterist or a Futurist?

April 10, 2020 • Dave Hunt & T.A. McMahon

Now, Dave, as you may recall—and I have to say “may recall” because you’ve written lots of books, and you would know we’ve been going through this week by week; it’s hard to remember titles of chapters, and so on. But chapter 20 of your book is titled, “This Generation,” and you lead off with Matthew 24:33-34. Now, let me read that for our listeners. So this is Matthew 24:33-34: “So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.” Well, to whom and what is Christ referring? Is it Israel or the church? Is it the Rapture or the Second Coming?

Who Is the Woman Clothed with the Sun?

April 3, 2020 • Dave Hunt & T.A. McMahon

If you’re a first-time listener or haven’t caught our program for a while, we’re currently discussing Dave Hunt’s book, When Will Jesus Come? Compelling Evidence for the Soon Return of Christ. Chapter 19 is titled, “Israel, the Messiah, and the Church.” And, Dave, you open with Revelation 12:1-6 and 13-17, so let me read those passages: “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.”

Do Ezekiel 38 and 39 Describe Armageddon?

March 27, 2020 • Dave Hunt & T.A. McMahon

Dave, last week we discussed the point you addressed in chapter 18 regarding the different perspectives that some prophecy teachers have about Ezekiel 38 and 39. And what makes that curious, at least, is that many of the speakers I’m thinking about hold the same last-days view that you do, Dave—that is, they’re pre-Millennial and pre-Trib. And for our listeners who are not familiar with those terms, someone who takes the pre-Millennial and pre-Tribulation view believes that the Rapture of the church will take place prior to the Great Tribulation period of seven years in which the Antichrist will rule on the earth and prior to the thousand-year reign of Christ from Jerusalem.

Can the Rapture Occur Only after World War III?

March 20, 2020 • Dave Hunt & T.A. McMahon

You’re listening to Search the Scriptures Daily, a program in which we encourage everyone who desires to know God’s truth to look to God’s Word for all that is essential for salvation and living one’s life in a way that is pleasing to Him. The topic for our discussion in this first segment is, and has been for a number of weeks, Dave Hunt’s book When Will Jesus Come? Compelling Evidence for the Soon Return of Christ. Now, Dave, you write in chapter 18, and I’m quoting, “Many students of prophecy believe that the next event on the prophetic calendar is World War III, and that only thereafter can the Rapture take place.”
