Conversation 4: When God Spits Nails

March 31, 2019 • Rev. Monty C. Wright

What makes God so mad that He proverbially “spits nails?” The answer to this question is addressed in the fourth Sunday conversation in the Lamentations series. We previously learned that God wants to hear our cry lament to Him, and there was a distinct pivot where He desires for us to align with Him as well. What this means is addressing those three things in our lives that He is outraged by. To hear more, listen to conversation 4, When God Spits Nails.

Conversation 3: Hope and Doubt

March 24, 2019 • Rev. Monty C. Wright

The book of Lamentations asks the question, “how could this happen?” When you feel like the bottom has dropped out, this question becomes very real. Hope and Doubt focuses on the permission that is given to us to voice our confusion, knowing that God will hear us in the midst of our lament. There is a significant pivot in this portion of Lamentations that speaks to the hope that God gives while we are in difficult times. To find out more about this, listen to conversation three Hope and Doubt.
