Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, which is a sacred time to pause, reflect on the distance we feel between God and ourselves, and receive again the grace and redemption we celebrate in Jesus through Easter. We remember God’s love and mercy through prayer, Scripture, and the imposition of ashes.
This year, we are offering three opportunities to worship:
- Ash Wednesday Meditation | 8:30am - Outside at the Cross Tower
- Ash Wednesday Meditation | 11:00am - Sanctuary
- Ash Wednesday Service | 6:30pm - Sanctuary (livestreamed; nursery care available)
Ash Wednesday Meditations are brief services of liturgy, Scripture, and prayer, followed by the imposition of ashes. The 6:30pm service is a full worship service with music and additional liturgical elements, and will also include the imposition of ashes
