A Holy Fear

Women's Winter Book Study

February 2, 2021
7:00 - 8:30pm

It’s been a year of uncertain and upsetting events—it started with raging forest fires, followed by a global pandemic, and ended with one of the most chaotic elections America has ever seen. It’s resulted in an environment of fear. Maybe you’re a mom fearing for your kids growing up in a crazy world. Maybe you’re caring for elderly parents, and you fear for them getting the virus or experiencing extreme loneliness. Maybe you are in your later years, and the current state of our world is causing you fear about your health or your living situation. There are many reasons for us to be fearful right now, and yet, our fear can be totally misplaced. The Bible leads us to a totally different kind of fear, and it’s a fear that puts all our other fears in their proper place. This year in our Summit Women winter study, we will be reading A Holy Fear: Trading Lesser Fears for the Fear of the Lord by Christina Fox to learn more about Biblical fear. Join us on Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:30 at the church as we worship and then break into smaller groups for discussion and prayer.
