Bottom line: "Be faithful" is the command of Jesus. Being faithful is the commitment to Jesus. Because of faithfulness is the crown from Jesus.
Am I prepared to suffer for Christ? Is there a point beyond which faithfulness to Jesus Christ is no longer required if it causes suffering in my life?
The command of Jesus to the church at Smyrna is the answer for us - Be thou faithful unto death.
