Bottom line: Our deepest longings and desires (for this world and in this world) will be fulfilled in the millennial kingdom of Jesus Christ.
The King's Kingdom is coming. It will be a kingdom of peace, justice, joy, security, no sickness, no curse, etc. It will fulfill our deepest longings and desires of our hearts. At Christ's return His enemies will destroyed (Babylon), defeated (Antichrist, False Prophet, and enemy armies), or detained (Satan in the bottomless pit), and He will establish His kingdom rule upon this earth for 1000 years. The kingdom must come in order to fulfill God's purpose and plan, fulfill 1800 prophecies concerning the kingdom, and fulfill the covenants God has made (Abrahamic, Davidic, and New Covenants).

What we hope for in the future makes all the difference in the NOW! Our NOW experience is controlled by our belief about the future. Our hope is that one day we will live with God in a new heaven and new earth. Knowing this is our future we can make it through any trouble and adversity in our present.
