Bottom line - The experience of storms is not meant to batter us, but to better us.

The experience of the storm allowed Jesus to build the faith of the disciples. They experienced extraordinary moments, experienced worship, and were encouraged by God's success.
Sometimes God will allow storms in our lives and sometimes God will direct us into a storm, but ultimately God does so to build us not bash us, to better us not batter us.
